This is a throwback to the time I had the chance to score the soundtrack to the movie "Ciudadano Buelna", by the master filmmaker Felipe Cazals. I am trying to pay attention to a journalist's question during the press conference a day after the premiere at the Guadalajara Film Festival 2013. Cazals's main works, some of which have recently been inducted into the Criterion Collection, can only be recommended in the highest of terms. For fans of @realgdt Guillermo del Toro and @alfonsocuaron Alfonso Cuarón, it might be interesting to know that both of them have expressed their gratitude and admiration for Cazals, and have talked about the influence of his work on their own output. I consider my work with Cazals to be one of the absolute highlights of my professional life, and I am thankful that it happened.
